New season, new living room? If you didn't get that decorating project done before the winter holidays, don't fret. What better time than spring to refresh your home? Can't you just imagine a lovely blue for the dining room walls, updating your living room with some mid-century modern pieces (found at the thrift store!), or going all out with a bold orange for the family room?
The library is a fantastic style resource for a weekend makeover or a major redo, and you won't have to pay a decorator by the hour. In my case, that would be helpful, since i have been trying to pick a bedroom paint color since 2009! I spend way too much time thinking about paint - and watching The Nate Berkus Show.
Half the fun of decorating is imagining the possibilities, and you'll find some great ideas at your local MCPL branch. Check out the interior design books and magazines listed below, or just browse through the nonfiction 747 section. I bet you'll find just the right inspiration for creating a home that makes you happy. And if you're lucky, you'll have it done before my bedroom gets painted!
