Spring Has Sprung

It's time to start gardening once again!
Still, the old adage that April truly will bring showers means I was waiting ever so patiently for the sun to come out. But, I’m anxious to get my hands back in the dirt!
Before the weather went south, I’d already put my herbs, potatoes and onions in the ground. And I’m planning to put in the tomatoes, green beans, peppers, and beets next.
Since I have a big family to feed and grocery store prices are going ever higher, I can fresh tomatoes, tomato juice, beets, and green beans. I even make my own salsa to get the family through the winter months.
And, we can’t forget the apple and plum trees too!
Nothing is better than the fresh apple butter and applesauce we make, not to mention the fantastic plum jelly which is ten times better than anything you could buy in the store.
Being raised on a farm does have its advantages, and I guess you could say I am getting back to my roots!
Here are a few ideas that can help you find yours!
