A Spring Break to Remember
March 15, 2011
March may have rolled in like a lamb this year – but most won’t expect it to stay too tame. Two words: SPRING BREAK.
For many college students nationwide, spring break is the best time of year; rambunctious men and women dressed to impress, guzzling drinks until a series of bad decisions are inevitably made (and promptly forgotten). Rinse and repeat.
Alternative spring break has become a popular substitute to wasting away in Margaritaville. Students choosing to participate in an alternative spring break spend their time volunteering to benefit the greater good through service projects – whether it is at a vacation destination or in their own backyard.
Spring break the mold and ask yourself this: is it more rewarding to extend a hand to someone in need or to someone too inebriated to stand? Find a new use for the funnel in your hand and do a little community service – because you want to and not because it’s court ordered!
