Speculative Fiction Book Group...Coming Soon?

Are you looking for something new and fun to do?  One of our North Oak customers has brought forward an idea for a new book group at the branch. He has even volunteered to run the discussions!

The proposed new book discussion group would be reading in the speculative fiction genre, which is the new term for what we formerly called science fiction/fantasy. If you are interested in this new group, please post a comment on this blog or write an email to me using the link on the North Oak page of our website. If we have enough interest, we will work together to decide a regular meeting time.

Book discussion groups are a fun way to get together with others who like the same kind of books that you do. You can talk about the merits of each book and debate what the author really meant when he wrote that. And this could be a great opportunity for you to get in on the ground floor of a new group of readers!
