Social Security Q & A, Coming Soon
April 09, 2011
Social Security was first enacted to help provide national economic security. Franklin Roosevelt stressed that point in his "Program for Social Security" speech (1935). He emphasized that there are no guarantees against the dangers of national economic down turns. However, he added that the perils of such troubled times can be reduced by employing safeguards. After 75 years, Social Security is still one of those safeguards!
North Independence Branch will be having a Social Security representative speak about Social Security basics. She will discuss what you should know about Social Security, and explain the various types of coverage it offers; since it not only helps older Americans, but covers other groups of Americans as well. She will also be glad to answer any questions. This presentation is open to anyone: those who are interested in their retirement benefits, those who want to know about Social Security disability coverage, those who want to know about benefits involving a spouse or child of a Social Security recipient, those who want to know about Social Security's administrative process. Or even those who are merely curious.
The program will be presented Tues. April 19th, at 2:00 pm. You can sign up by clicking the link below and following the instructions or simply by calling our branch at (816) 252-0952. We hope you can attend!
