Snow Days in May: Stuck at Home
May 09, 2013
I found myself stuck at home last Friday night. I'm pretty sure we all were asking Mother Nature what she'd had for breakfast that morning, but there are worse things than snow in May.
Okay. Maybe there isn't really anything worse than snow on May 3rd. However, back to my little tale, picture this: I was stuck at home and I didn't feel like watching anything that I'd already owned, but I didn't want to watch anything on the computer through YouTube, especially since I wanted something more movie-like than just short clips.
If I was okay watching something on my computer, I could watch something really cool through the new service of IndieFlix. Wait! Something comes to mind here. There’s an app for that, right? Oh, yes. There is indeed an app for that, both for the Xbox and the Roku device. The Roku device is used to stream videos and audio services through your television.
But what applies to my situation is the Xbox app. I’ve got an Xbox 360. I do play video games. Now that that’s out of the way, I can tell you how fantastic it was to watch some very neat independent films free from the Library on a lazy (snowy) day. A not-so-fun day of snow turned into a relaxing evening at home.
