Do you have your calendars marked for this upcoming Saturday? It's time for the annual Snake Saturday parade in North Kansas City. This is a family-friendly event with various activities that anyone can enjoy. The first Snake Saturday parade in North Kansas City was in 1983, and it has grown to become quite an event in the Northland. There will be carnival rides, food, a car show, free pony rides, and a petting zoo for the wee lads and lassies!
The parade will feature various high school bands, local community organizations, and other groups. One such group is the Library. We will have an entry in the parade this year, and I will be part of that, along with Miss Rachael from North Oak Branch! We are revved up to have a great time, and we'll be hoping to see you down in North town this Saturday morning!
