Shoe Love Is True Love
March 07, 2011
When perusing my closet yesterday, I found myself less than inspired. Don't get me wrong; I have plenty of clothes. I found skirts that went with several shirts. I found pants that went awesomely with light-weight sweaters. I found dresses that needed only one thing to give them that extra punch. What I didn't have was the shoes I wanted to go with any of those things. Naturally, this makes me want to go shopping and not come home until I've got a new shoe army to take over my closet. I would also like to buy a house this year, so I'm trying to be frugal and not make purchases that aren't necessary. Yes, I'll still go looking for that perfect pair of sandals to go with most of my summer outfit ideas, but I'll try to keep it at that. Until then, I can keep myself occupied with the pictures in Altered Shoes by Marty Stevens-Heebner, Chucks! by Hal Peterson, Bootism by Michael Duranko, and Honey, It's All in the Shoes by Phyllis Hoffman. If you're finding yourself in the same boat you should put some copies on hold!
