King's Man by Angus Donald was published November 2012. Sigh... another Robin Hood book? Yes, how can you not cheer for Robin Hood as he fights for justice, the oppressed, and rightful King Richard? This story is told by loyal follower Alan Dale in his 60s, recounting his time with Robin Hood when he was in his 20s.
Publisher's Weekly says, "Donald is a masterful storyteller, creating complext plots full of intrigue, treachery, color and authentic battle scenes of medieval warfare with spear, sword, mace and ax, where prisoners and the wounded are shown no mercy. Despite or perhaps because of all the gore and cruelty, this is convincing historical fiction."
