Sharing the Past with Veterans

October 19, 2010

Have you ever thought about the sacrifices that our service men and women have made during times of war, and wanted to know more about their lives? How they lived, what they ate, whether or not they were wounded in battle? Well, now is your chance. The Platte City Branch will host the annual Veterans Salute on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Veterans Salute is a full day of roundtable discussions, reenactments, and weapons demonstrations by active duty officers and decorated veterans. Museum-quality collections and vintage military vehicles will be on display to commemorate World War II, the 60th anniversary of the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Gulf War.  Don’t miss this opportunity to share the past through photos and priceless stories from those who have dedicated their lives in service to our country.

The Platte City MCPL Branch is located at 2702 Prairie View Road, Platte City, Missouri. For more information contact the branch at (816) 858-2322.
