Share the Holidays with Your Family’s Favorite Character
December 10, 2012
Start a wonderful tradtion with your family this holiday season. Working in Youth Services has me around wonderful children’s books every day, and I wanted to share with you some of my holiday favorites. MCPL has a lot of great books highlighting the joy and tradition of this time of year. I will be choosing a few of these titles to read with my niece and nephew on Christmas Eve.

Pete the Cat Saves Christmas by Eric Letwin
Home for Christmas by Jan Brett
Bear Stays Up for Christmas by Karma Wilson
A Bad Kitty Christmas by Nick Bruel
Fancy Nancy: Splendiferous Christmas by Jane O’connor
It’s Christmas, David! By David Shannon
Scaredy Squirrel Prepares for Christmas by Mélanie Watt
A Pirate’s Twelve Days of Christmas by Philip Yates
Daddy Christmas and Hanukkah Mama by Selina Alko
How Do Dinosaurs Say Happy Chanukah by Jane Yolen
Happy Hanukkah, Corduroy by Lisa McCue

So, cozy up to one of these favorites with a cup of hot cocoa and read aloud to your child this holiday season.
