Series Review: Epic & Saga by Conor Kostick

July 13, 2010

Welcome to the world of Epic. Many, many years in the future, Earth has gotten so violent that drastic measures had to be taken. As a way to solve conflicts, the computer game Epic was invented. Now you live your life through an RPG (role-playing game). While this was to create a Utopian society, humans are humans and corruption has taken over. Erik, his family, and friends are never rich enough or powerful enough to get anywhere in this society.  When Erik’s father is unfairly taken away, Erik decides it is time to take down this corrupt game forever. Epic follows Erik and his friends as they work to rid Earth of this corrupt society forever. Saga continues the story from the view point of computer characters in the game which are not as inanimate as you would think. Epic and Saga by Conor Kostick create a world that both Sci-Fi and Fantasy fans will love.
