The Selection

The Selection by Kiera Cass is a chance of a lifetime for thirty-five girls. It’s an opportunity for them to escape the life they’ve lived since birth, to live in a palace, and to compete for the heart of a Prince. The America Singer, however, sees it as a nightmare. It means abandoning her secret love with Aspen, who unfortunately is a caste below her.

She will have to leave her home to enter into a competition for a crown she does not want. Living in the palace also comes with constant violent rebel attacks and being caged in with little freedom. America soon meets Prince Maxon, and gradually she begins to question her plans.
