Say Hello to Our New Staff Members
July 18, 2013
There are some new faces at the circulation desk of our branch. Norma Geiss is the newest member of our staff. She spent 30 years as a teacher in the Excelsior Springs School District. Most of that time was spent teaching a variety of subjects to sixth grade students. Norma enjoys reading novels, gardening, quilting, and scrapbooking, as well as spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite author is John Grisham.
You may have already met another new addition to our staff. Or maybe you read his blog from last week? Steve Wieberg spent about 30 years as a sportswriter for USA Today. He is the winner of 25 national writing awards and covered three baseball World Series. He also covered several non-sports events, such as the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and devastation caused by the tornado in Joplin in 2011. He still does freelance writing and is a resident of Lawson.
If you see Norma or Steve, please welcome them to our library system.
