Resolved?
January 10, 2013
The resolutions made on January 1st need to be resolved. What was you resolution? Perhaps you are into recycling? A recycled resolution that is -- recycle, refresh, reuse, doesn’t really matter, it is all results.
I was frustrated in October by my increasing waistline and pondered on what action to take. I started the quest for information like any good library employee. I was quickly overloaded by the tremendous amount of information. Worse of all, I didn’t really need to read a book on exercise,or a diet book to know that to decrease my waistline, increase my energy, and improve my overall health; I just needed to take action.
It was fate that I received an invitation to try a class at Jazzercise. Ok, I thought, I will go and try it, but I really didn’t want to join a gym, class, or anything else similar. I basically didn’t want to spend money and be in a class with a bunch of perky, skinny, energetic people to make me unsure of myself.
So I found myself in this special Girls Night Out, and before I knew, I was having fun. I soon found myself signing up for 6 months of classes, and I am very pleased. I got a jump start on my New Year’s resolutions and feel this year I will actually be able to check off some items on the list.
The classes are fun, and there are so many different times and instructors, that I hoping to avoid the usual plateau; all the different moves and styles should serve my body well. The most important thing is that I enjoy it, which increases my chances of staying with it. Oh—by the way—Jazzercise is a cult, that is according to one instructor’s husband. I’ll have another glass of the Kool-Aid, please.
