Reading Aloud Family Time (RAFT)

We have a unique and fun display for RAFT at the Lone Jack Branch. You can watch the chocolate "kiss" come out of the gift box every time the door opens to the branch. The kids and adults love it. It also helps to start up a conversation about this family program. 

Between January 3 and March 3, 2012, your family can earn a hardback copy of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory just by reading two chapter books aloud. Your name will also be put in a drawing for the DVD of Tim Burton’s 2005 version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Each time you read two chapter books aloud, you earn another entry.   

Registering is easy. Go to the Library and pick up a brochure or go online. There are lists available at the Library and online to help you pick out books for your children’s interests and reading levels. What a great way to discover new interests and enjoy some time with your family!
