Read Aloud Family Time (RAFT) is a Sweet Program

The RAFT program is currently underway, but it's still not too late to sign up! Your family can win a FREE copy of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl just by reading two chapter books together between now and Saturday, March 3rd. After you finish those first two chapter books, you will also receive a certificate and stickers for each participating child. But WAIT, there’s MORE…

We’re making participation even sweeter. Each time you finish reading two chapter books together, your family will earn a "golden ticket" (with your family name and phone number on it) for our special raffle. On March 5th, two tickets will be drawn out of our top-secret container (tightly guarded by Oompa Loompas). One family will win a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory DVD starring Johnny Depp, and another family will win a bunch of chocolate goodies! The goody basket will GROW based on the number of families who participate in the RAFT program at our branch!

We are currently filling a candy jar with pieces of chocolate candy. One piece goes in the jar for each family member who finishes two chapter books at the Blue Ridge Branch. Check back each week to see a picture of the jar. If the jar fills up, we’ll add something new. So, keep reading even if you’ve already received your book prize!
