Raytown Branch Makeover
July 15, 2010
If you haven’t been to the Raytown Branch for a while, we think you are in for a pleasant surprise. We are very pleased with the results of our recent enhancement project. New lighting and department relocations give the building a brighter, more spacious look. The children’s area is now on the main level. This is helpful to parents because they can avoid the stairs and ramp. This area has a more logical arrangement, and provides easy access to Children's books. You will notice that, with the lower shelves, more natural light comes through the windows giving it a more open feeling. Adult Non-Fiction and study areas have been moved to the upper level. In addition to study tables, there are laptop tables with access to power outlets for those who are using their own laptop computers. Magazines and newspapers, as well as Adult Fiction, are on the main floor. The reading area has been moved to a more quiet and private space. Stop by the Raytown Branch and see what's new. Let us know what you think.
