Presidents' Day
February 18, 2013
So, yesterday was a holiday. Yep, it was an actual observed holiday. It was Presidents’ Day. Did you think you were getting a day off just because we haven’t had one since the middle of January?
Presidents’ Day was established in 1885 to recognize George Washington’s birthday, but it has become a day to celebrate all US presidents, past and present. So, in honor of Presidents’ Day, who is your favorite president? Do you favor the greats like Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, or John F. Kennedy? Or, are you more interested in those lesser known presidents like Franklin Pierce, Millard Filmore, or John Tyler?
