Places I have Always Wanted to Go
March 01, 2013
My junior year of college, I had the amazing opportunity to study abroad. In five months, that I will cherish forever, I lived in England and traveled to Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Belgium, Scotland, Ireland, and the Netherlands. I saw the sights, walked through the history, spoke the language (usually very poorly), and ate the food (my favorite part, I’m a foodie). I returned home in a haze of happiness and memories.
Shortly thereafter, I began to realize that while I had explored much of Europe, I had barely set foot in my own country. Being the explorer that I think I am, this revelation did not sit well. I decided to make it my goal to start exploring the US. I only got to Dallas and Las Vegas before life got in the way. Unfortunately, things like no money, a career, marriage, and now a baby have slowed my progress, but they have not quelled my thirst for new locales.
So, today I have decided to make a list. You have to start somewhere. So here it is…
Places I have always wanted to go (and will go, eventually)…
This list is by no means all encompassing, but I didn’t want to overwhelm myself. I plan on adding more.
What places have you always wanted to go? Maybe some of your choices might make it on to my list.
Happy trails!
