Pioneer Woman Cooks: a Book Review
October 19, 2010
I came across a cookbook the other day that I just had to take home. In The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl, Ree Drummond offers beautiful photography and step by step instructions for cooking some good country comfort food. She also includes some charming stories of her life on an Oklahoma ranch with her "Marlboro Man", her four children, and various animals. It's not just a cookbook, it's a glimpse into a way of life that many of us have no experience with. She shares stories about a hard-working ranch family, where every member from youngest to the oldest is vital to the success of their livelihood. It makes me want to visit Oklahoma and spend some time on the ranch.
Along with her book, she has a wonderful blog full of sweet life stories, romance, and recipes at http://thepioneerwoman.com/. If you enjoy a cookbook with something more than a list of recipes, check out The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl by Ree Drummond. You won't be disappointed.
