The Pioneer Woman Cooks
January 08, 2013
The holiday cooking is done, the tree has been taken down, and all of the decorations put away in the attic. I am ready to get out some of my favorite recipe books and cook a meal that does not include turkey or ham!
One of my favorite cookbooks from the Library is The Pioneer Woman Cooks. This cookbook includes recipes that remind me of the food my grandma would serve on Sunday afternoons. The recipes are easy-to-follow, even for the novice.
On the menu: Tangy Tomato Brisket, Crash Hot Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, and for dessert, Texas Sheet Cake. Enjoy!
We also invite you to share some of your favorite recipes with your fellow Library users. Do you have a go-to source for recipes? Do you follow the recipe exactly or add your own little flare?
