Picture Book Treasure

Mid-Continent Public Library has a wonderful collection of picture books. One of my new favorites is a book titled The Flower Man by Mark Ludy. It is a wordless book. However, the pictures paint a very sweet and rich story about how a small gesture can have a huge impact on an entire community.

This is a great book to use for the purpose of helping your child develop narrative skills. The pictures are extremely detailed, and there’s so much to talk about on each page. After reading this beautifully crafted story, you’ll probably have a strong desire to go get some flowers and give them away!
