What is the soundtrack for your life? Will you swing dance to those songs, or two-step?

What are the songs that take you back—all the way back? The tunes you love now as much as you loved then?

Maybe, you are a little more of the moment and your playlist changes daily. What’s the song you just can’t get out of your head? We can guarantee you no one else can stop singing it either.

A patron recently talked music with us, Pop in particular, and spoke of the infectious fun song, "We Are Young." "It makes me feel like I’m running down the street with my friends 10 years ago with something we stole from a neighbor’s yard." Local Neighborhood Associate, I’m sure she was joking, so let’s all laugh together. When you stop to think about an anthem like "We Are Young," or any other, what about that does draw us in? Why does it make us smile?

In the world of libraries, we live to focus on the books. A story can transport you to another city, another time…maybe even another planet or dimension. In reality, music has the same power.
