Organize with BookJetty
August 08, 2012
So, usually when I get on the Library’s website, I head straight for the catalog. Occasionally, though, I do visit the Online Resources page. The Online Resources page gives me access to downloadable eBooks and Research Databases, but I don’t really venture any further than that. That is until I discovered Web Resources.
Web Resources is a collection of links that will take you to information found outside of MCPL’s website. One of my favorite web links falls under the Readers Advisory category. It’s called BookJetty, and it’s found in the Book Lists link. BookJetty is an organizational tool akin to GoodReads that allows me to keep track of books I want to read and have already read. The difference is that I can link my BookJetty bookshelves to Amazon.com and share my reviews on Facebook.
Aside from Reader’s Advisory links, the Web Resources page offers access to reference, education, government, and entertainment websites as well. Have you browsed the Web Resources highlighted on the library’s website? Which links are your favorites?
