Open House Partnership

An Open House for patrons with disabilities was hosted by Mid-Continent Public Library and Triality, Inc. at the Liberty Branch on April 6, 2011. The Open House was held as part of a Library Services Technology Act Grant through the Missouri Department of Mental Health. Library tours, along with computer and self-checkout demonstrations were offered to participants by library staff. Representatives from three local organizations were on hand to answer questions and provide information. The organizations included Triality Inc., The Coalition for Independence, and The Whole Person. Attendees were asked to complete a survey to help the library identify patron needs in exchange for a reusable tote bag. Refreshments were served. Over seventy patrons attended!
