Online Resources
October 20, 2010
The Mid-Continent Public Library has several online resources that are beneficial for students and adults alike. You will find them on our website, and they can be accessed from your home computer, too.
One resource is our card Catalog. Here you can search books, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs; see the branches where they are located, and put them on hold. You will receive a notice when they are in at your library.
Another resource is our homework help, Live Homework Help from Tutor.com. Students are able to access tutors, who are experts in their course of study, for help in many classes, such as English, math, science, and social studies. It is available from noon until 12:00 p.m., seven days a week. Just log on and follow the easy steps to get set up with a tutor.
Last, we have access to many Research Databases, ranging from history to research ones such as SIRS. Again, you can log on to these from our homepage. The databases have a wealth of information for you on many topics.
These are just a few of the many resources the library has to offer, which are helpful and useful for different purposes.
