One for the Money

Janet Evanovich readers will be pleased to know that Hollywood has finally swooped up the Stephanie Plum series.

The film version of the first book in the series, One For the Money, which was originally published in 1994, is set to release in theaters January 27, 2012. Popular star Katherine Heigl of Grey's Anatomy, Life As We Know It, and 27 Dresses was cast as heroine Stephanie Plum, a working-class Jersey girl who takes a job as a bounty hunter in an attempt to collect $10,000.

The books series has titles numbering all the way up to 18, with Explosive Eighteen set to release November 22, 2011. This smart and funny mystery will be sure to please Evanovich fans.
