One Life To Live Has Less Than One Year To Live
July 07, 2011
The ABC soap opera One Life to Live made its debut in 1968 and has been entertaining audiences for approximately 43 years now.
Actors who have appeared on the show during its prodigious run and then went to become bigger stars in television and movies include: Dixie Carter (Designing Women), Judith Light (Who’s the Boss), Blair Underwood (L.A. Law), Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), Phylicia Rashad (The Cosby Show) and Tommy Lee Jones (The Fugitive, No Country for Old Men). Actress Erika Slezak has been on the show since 1971. She’s won six Emmy’s for her portrayal of "Vicki," a woman who suffers from occasional multiple personality disorder. Much to the chagrin of those who have followed the show for years, and in some cases, have grown up watching these characters, the show has been cancelled. The last episode is supposed to air January 12, 2012. The show will be sorely missed by many, including me.

You might have your information a little wrong. I heard that this soap will live online when it goes to an internet movie channel.
