Oh No! I've Done It Again!
April 26, 2013
Oh No! I’ve done it again. I have so many great books on hold, and now they are all coming in at the same time. I’m getting ready to go on vacation. What can I do?
I remember now. The nice lady at my Library showed me how to stop the holds for any period of time I choose. She said I can suspend my holds by logging onto my library account and going to the "View My Account" link. All I need to do is go to my "Holds," check the titles I want to suspend the hold on, and then choose the button "Suspend Selected." I select the start date and end date, and click the blue "Suspend Selected" bar.
When I get back from vacation, I can reactivate my holds by checking the titles I want; choose "Activate Selected," and then click the blue "Suspend Selected" button.
The nice thing about suspending my holds is that I don’t lose my place in line; I just stop them from becoming available. That sounds easy. I know I can do that!
