Oh No! ALL My Books Came In!

April 19, 2011

Oh No! I’ve done it again. I have so many great books to read on hold, and now they are all coming in at the same time! I’m getting ready to go on vacation. What can I do?

I remember now! The lady at my library showed me how to stop the holds for any period of time I choose. She said I can suspend my holds by logging onto my library account and clicking the "View My Account" button. All I need to do is go to my "Holds," check the titles I want to suspend the hold on, and then choose the button "Suspend Selected." I select the start date, end date, and click the blue "Suspend Selected" bar.

When I get back from vacation, I can reactivate my holds by checking the titles I want, choosing "Activate Selected", and then clicking the blue "Suspend Selected" button.

The nice thing about suspending my holds is that I don’t lose my place in line; I just stop them from becoming available.

That sounds easy. I know I can do that!
