Oh, Christmas Tree

December 07, 2012

Everywhere you look these days, you see a Christmas tree. I have seen the perfect green ones with multi-colored lights and decorations, the delicate white ones, and a few Charlie Brown trees. The trend is themed trees. There are trees just for pets, princess trees, and trees decorated all in one color; the list goes on and on. It stands to reason that your library would have a book themed Christmas tree, but the Antioch Branch went one step further and made the tree from books.

Our tree might not be an original (check out the Library’s Pinterest Page for some more ideas), but it is our first attempt. Curl up in the chair next to the tree and read a good book (but please don’t borrow from the tree!). The tree stands a bit over 5 feet, has approximately 200 books, and one strand of lights.

Visit our Facebook page and leave a comment with your favorite Christmas time book: past, present, or future.

Happy Holidays!
