Oh, Christmas Tree...

Christmas is the only holiday that I really enjoy. I REALLY get into it. This year, I bought a new 6.5 foot pre-lit tree, new ornaments, tree topper star, tree skirt, and (personalized) stockings. I was ready to put it all up a week before Thanksgiving. I dragged out all of my older Christmas decorations, went through my ornaments, and selected what I wanted to keep to put on my new tree. My boyfriend (who is sort of a Scrooge) kept asking why I have so many Christmas decorations, and he insisted that I couldn’t put it all up till after Thanksgiving...But, I finally talked him into putting it all up the night before Thanksgiving. Every night as we are sitting in our comfy chairs watching television and talking, I turn off all the lights and turn on the tree. He doesn’t get it, but I find it comforting. It gets me in the Christmas spirit.
