Obtaining Missouri Vital Records
February 26, 2011
In an attempt to ward against identity theft, the Missouri Department of Health (MDH) has adopted new guidelines for obtaining vital records. Beginning March 1, 2011, you will need to present a photo ID when requesting a copy of a birth, death, marriage, or divorce record. Requests submitted by mail must be notarized by a notary public. Fees are unchanged, and more information is available at the MDH website.
