O Tannenbaum!

November 23, 2010

After more than a two year search for a silver vintage Christmas tree, my husband has finally purchased one. Somehow, he managed to find one 50 years old, but never used. Would that make it a new silver vintage Christmas tree? Anyway, when I get home tonight, we will be putting up this "priceless", long searched for treasure. There are two significant things about this event. One, we never put up a Christmas tree before Thanksgiving, and two, he has never been the one to make the suggestion of when we would put up a Christmas tree before. This has always been my domain. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining about it. It just helps to explain how excited my husband is to finally find this tree that brings back so many wonderful childhood memories.

The Holiday Season is a great time to create those memories for your family, too. Whether it’s the traditions of decorating, singing carols, making gifts, or baking, we have ideas for you. Maybe you want some fresh ideas; like how to decorate a 50 year old tree (very carefully). Or, your kids are getting old enough to make gifts for the grandparents. We’ve got those books and so many more. So, stop on by and browse in the non-fiction 745 section. Too busy to browse? Look around; bet you will find a fabulous display! And Happy Holidays!
