Nutty For Books

October 02, 2010

What do you think of when you think about working at a library? I always thought that you checked in books, you checked out books, and you put books away. That is true. When you work at the library, you do accomplish those important tasks. But, I never thought working at the library also included doing bulletin boards, or never realize the amount of work that goes into making a bulletin board.

Now that the Summer Reading Program is completed, it is time to take down the summer bulletin board.  “Nutty for Books” was the idea for the next board because fall is upon us. Cindy, our bulletin board whiz, got to work.  She started by picking the paper color, copying the picture she wanted onto big white paper, and putting everything together. Everything was going okay until she got to the tree. In a staff meeting, she asked if someone could fix the tree. And fix the tree, a staff member did.  I was working the Monday evening she began to labor over making the tree look real, and I have to say, she did a terrific job.

If you are out and about, come visit the Camden Point Branch, and check out the bulletin board.
