The month of November has a lot of things going for it that may or may not surprise you. We are all thankful for Thanksgiving, which involves lots of feasting and giving thanks. Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday. But here are a few little known events that also call the month of November "home":

A popular event that happens right here near our community is The Barn Artists Gallery 2012. The Fall Show is Nov 9th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Nov 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Barn features local artists’ creations, including exhibits of jewelry, stained glass, wood carvings, stone art, multi-media art, copper creations, candles, and many more. Come find that perfect gift you’ve been searching for, maybe something a little more unique and out of the ordinary. Don’t miss it!

20700 Elm Grove Rd, Platte City, MO 64079. Take I-29 North of Platte City to exit 25 (Camden Point); turn right (East) for ½ mile to Elm Grove Rd; turn left (North) for one mile and follow the Art Show signs.
