Not Only People Come To the Library
July 08, 2010
The Summer Reading Program at the Camden Point Branch is underway. Although the Camden Point Branch hosts programs throughout the whole year, it is during the summer when we host programs almost every week. And yes, most of the programs are mostly attended by kids, parents, teachers and adults.
But not only patrons have attended and enjoyed our programs. For instance, Flora, a Seeing Eye dog enjoyed her time being petted by the children. Turbo, a quarter horse from the Sunset Trails Stables, loved being combed, petted, and loved on by over 80 kids. Also, a leopard tortoise from the Kansas City Zoo was admired by many patrons as well.
So you see, not only do people enjoy the programs provided by the Camden Point Branch, but so do animals. Come on down and enjoy a program or a good book as well.
