New York, New York!
July 24, 2012
After finally graduating college, my friend Jordan and I took a trip to New York City to celebrate. Where would be the first place two librarians would go? The New York City Public Library! This library was absolutely amazing. We even bought matching library shirts.
Besides going to see the library, we went up in the Empire State Building, Times Square, and the 9/11 Memorial. We also took a ferry out to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We even took a stroll through Central Park.

We were supposed to get up really early one morning and go to the Today Show to see the Zac Brown Band preform, but we didn’t make it. We still went to see the NBC studio and while walking down the sidewalk, Matt Lauer almost knocked over my friend Jordan while being rushed out of the building by his security guards.
My favorite part of the trip was going to see Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory) in the off-Broadway play Harvey.
The whole trip felt surreal because everywhere we went the scenery was something you would see in a TV show or the movies.
