Nepalese Magic

Imagine flying over the Himalayan Mountains and viewing Mt. Everest. Consider the experience of riding in an ox cart and plowing the fields by hand behind oxen. Think of experiencing first-hand the thousands of Maoist protesters flooding Kathmandu (the only vehicle on the roads besides ambulances was our van!) and we were quite safe.

Envision soaring in an ultra-light plane through the early-morning clouds with the mountains close by, or the exhilaration of white water rafting for two days. Conceive of the beauty of the temples, the mist over the mountains, and the Hindu and Buddhist creativity – watch the Sharman perform his craft. Feel the emotions while viewing Hindu cremations.

The adventures in Nepal have added to my life experiences, and the people have crept into my heart. I would try it again, especially the excitement of riding an elephant bareback into the river for an "elephant shower."
