A Neighborhood of Generosity

Never underestimate the potential for a wonderful surprise to occur.

When we set out to plan our upcoming Pink Party: Breast Cancer Awareness, all we were sure of was that we wanted to make it a great day. The "how" wasn’t as clear. The Pink Party is an afternoon set aside for information, education, and a little pampering. We aim to keep the tradition of fun going from previous years as well.

Starting from scratch is daunting, but we were optimistic. Thanks to a lot of help from the many kind individuals who live and work in community, it’s coming together. Now the speakers are lined up. We’ll each learn a little yoga. We know we’ll have great refreshments for everyone. We know we’ll play games and enjoy a merchant fair. There will be massage therapists on hand to pamper all our guests.

And then there are the prizes…

We wanted to have a little something to offer up as a door prize (maybe something for the winners of the games), but we never anticipated the generosity of our local merchants. We have gift certificates for bowling, for roller skating, for restaurants galore, for shopping, for snacking, and for everything under the sun.

We know our event will be wonderful, and we know you’ll come and bring your friends and family. Most importantly, we know we live and work in a community that cares.
