National Novel Writing Month
November 11, 2010
November 1 through 30, 2010
Last year was my first attempt at writing a novel. When I decided to take on this adventure, I really didn’t quite understand what I was getting myself into. The first few thousand words, I struggled with. Then by the time mid-November came, I was writing like there was no tomorrow! My characters and storyline developed right in front of my eyes. Before I knew it, the month had flown by, and it was time for me to mail out my Christmas cards. At the end of the month, I had not reached the 50,000 words, but I had a great time trying. What I took away from it was a better understanding of myself, my friends, and it gave me an opportunity to express my creativity and have some fun!
This year I am doing a little prep work, like thinking up characters, location, and hopefully I will have a plot outline.
