National Heart Disease Awareness Month
February 10, 2011
Heart disease is the number one leading cause of death in the United States. The month of February is dedicated to raising awareness about heart disease and increasing knowledge about prevention. You can educate yourself on the dangers of heart disease by checking out any of our books on how to prevent, halt, or reverse heart disease at any one of our branch locations!
I would recommend:
- The No Bull Book on Heart Disease: Real Answers to Winning Back Your Heart and Health by: Joel Okner
- American Medical Association Guide to Preventing and Treating Heart Disease : Essential Information You and Your Family Need to Know About Vaving a Healthy Heart by: Maritn S. Lipsky
- Outliving Heart Disease: the 10 New Rules For Prevention and Treatment by: Richard A. Stein M.D.
You can also learn more at http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/, where you will find simple things you can do to get on the path to a more healthy heart today! And, don’t forget to show your support by wearing red this month!
