Music, Harmony, and Rock 'N' Roll

November 23, 2012

Do you like music? Awesome! Because I like music, too! It seems that there is almost a genre for every song or every band, so how do you choose your favorites?

You start anywhere you want! I started with my Top 5 80s Music Artists.

1. AC/DC
Did you know they’re an Australian rock band? Cool! They were formed in 1973 by brothers, Malcolm and Angus Young, who have stayed together and in the band this entire time. I said 80s right? Well, they didn’t really hit it big until their Back In Black album came out in July 1980. Looking to hear their tunes?

2. Bon Jovi
This is an American rock band. They started in '83 and didn’t really get big until their third album’s release in 1986. Listen to something new.

3. Michael Jackson
I’m sure you know all about this guy, but did you know that that he helped make MTV big? You've probably heard him before, but here is his music for your listening pleasure.

4. Paul McCartney
His song "Yesterday” has been played by 2,200 artists! You might have heard most of the Beatles' songs, but have you heard all of Paul McCartney's music?

5. Queen
These guys are a British rock band who also formed in the early 70s, and while they were famous even from the start, they were one of the larger bands of the stadium rock genre. Here's a few of their albums for you to try out!

Maybe you've already got your wish list ready to go, maybe you don't. This may just give you a few new things to add to that list!
