Motor Assist...My Hero!
April 24, 2013
Last week I had a flat tire. Let me rephrase that. My tire was half gone and what was left was in shreds.
I was on my way home from a get-together with the girls when all of a sudden, my friend and I heard a terrible noise. None of my gauges were flashing on the dashboard, so we didn’t quite know what to make of the noise. All I knew was that I needed to get in the far right lane as soon as possible.
I was driving on I-435, it was about 11:00 p.m., and traffic was going fast and furious. So who do you call in situations like this? You’re right. I called my husband!
He came to my rescue. Well, sort of. He got there and was jacking up my car—or at least trying to jack it up. The jack didn’t work!
So as we are trying to figure out what to do next, along comes Motorist Assist. I didn’t even know that they traveled the interstates once rush hour traffic was over. He whips out this humongous jack, jacks up my car, changes the tire to the little spare, lets the jack down, and says, "We’re ready to go." HE WAS WONDERFUL!
I have never needed Motorist Assist before, but when you need them, they are Angels. They have a very dangerous job. The traffic was horrible, and these guys don’t get enough credit for what they do to help people like me. I would like for them to know that I truly do appreciate all that they do.
And if you see a Motorist Assist vehicle helping a person on the side of the road, please give them plenty of room to do their job.
