More Potter From Pottermore!

June 27, 2011

Come on, admit it- ever since you read the Harry Potter books, you've been secretly wondering where your Hogwarts acceptance letter was. All of us that got wrapped up in Harry's world have certainly thought about what house we'd be sorted into or what kind of wand would chose us.

But thanks to a new interactive reading experience helmed by J.K. Rowling herself, we'll soon be able to follow Harry through the books in a way we've never dreamed of.

Pottermore, which you can sign up for now, will launch a beta program on July 31st (Harry's birthday) and be ready for all users this fall. Now you can be sorted into your Hogwarts house- by the sorting hat itself! And be prepared to take a trip to Ollivander's, where your own magical wand will chose you.

This new experience will not only promote reading for the younger fans, but it will give older fans a new insight into the magical world we all know and love.

For those who can't wait until this fall, perhaps our library's Harry Potter Extravaganza events will tide you over. But in the meantime, submit your email and wait for the magic to happen!
