Miss Nelson was spotted

Yes,  Miss Nelson actually showed up at the Raytown branch...and Viola Swamp did, too.

On June 21 at 7 p.m., we had the privilege of  having Andi  Meyer from the Kansas City Young Audiences read Miss Nelson Is Missing and Miss Nelson Has A Field Day at the Raytown branch.

Ms. Meyer dressed as the teacher Miss Nelson and switched to a witch's costume when she was Viola Swamp. The kids thought  it was hilarious when Miss Nelson  put the wig on in front of them to switch characters.

The audience participated as students in Miss Nelson's class and helped read part of the books.
