Million Dollar Question...

August 16, 2010

The Million Dollar Question is: "When are you moving back to the 24 Highway location?"

The answer is: "We are getting closer and closer."

New pictures of our progress were posted recently. To view these pictures, scroll to the bottom of the home page.  On the bottom right, you will see Stay Connected, the last icon on the right is flickr. That icon will take you to the most recent pictures of the progress of the newly renovated North Independence Branch. We are all excited about the move back. Thank you for continuing to visit us at the temporary location and for your patience as we keep moving along.

Alrighty, Discovery Club Students. There's more than one way to skin a cat, sorry Libby. At our next club meeting tell me two other ways you can view the pictures of the New North Independence Branch renovations and you could win a prize. Happy Website Hunting.

Thanks for reading and the comment. I can't wait to see the "Working history of Independence" display, complete with the combine.

Answer to the Million Dollar Question

You want to be careful about setting dates on things like this. I'm pretty comfortable in saying that we will be operating in our old "new" library before the end of the year. Carpet is down in lots of the main floor. The drive up window ramp has been built.

To me the most interesting news is that we've acquired a combine to be part of the "working history of Independence" display. It is a working series E model, originally built right here in Independence. Does anyone know anything about combine restoration?
