Millard Fillmore Contest Headed for Overtime
September 22, 2010
I was literally double checking the scores, wrapping the library in cellophane for the official Millard Fillmore award presentation when out of nowhere, username Tracy dropped this bomb:
Facts On File American History Online states "Millard Fillmore made his greatest contribution to U.S. history when he threw the weight of his administration behind the Compromise of 1850, ensuring its passage and forestalling the Civil War for a decade." This essentially led to the North winning by allowing them the time to build up their resources needed to win the war.
It's official, the gauntlet has been thrown down for L. Hume. We are headed to overtime. To clarify, this is not a sudden death event, no spitballs, no slander- let’s keep this thing clean. Also, if a third party were to introduce superior information to the contest, they would have the chance to supplant the contenders.

P.S.
If you provide evidence that you have used or heard Millard Fillmore in a sentence five times in the last month, this would be permissible for a belated entry.
