Meet the Edgerton Staff: Jordan
November 24, 2012
This month I had the pleasure of interviewing Jordan P. for our Employee of the Month blog.
Q: What position do you hold at your branch?
A: I am a Library Assistant.
Q: How long have you been at the Edgerton Branch, and how long have you been with Mid-Continent Public Library?
A: I have been with Mid-Continent Public Library at the Edgerton Branch for a little over eight years!
Q: What are some of your duties here?
A: I facilitate Teen Book Clubs at the North Platte Jr. and Sr. High Schools, write and post blogs, administrate our branch Facebook page, as well as all the usual library tasks, such as recommending books and checking items in and out.
Q: What is your favorite part of the job?
A: My favorite part is doing the Teen Book Clubs. It’s fun going to the schools, and it’s a walk down memory lane for me since I graduated from North Platte! I like to interact with the kids, and talk about books.
Q: What is your favorite book/movie/other item you can get from our library?
A: It’s too hard to pick just one favorite! I have too many! But, I love the Harry Potter series.
Q: What do you love most about your branch?
A: The thing I love most about my branch is that even though we are small, we are very important to our community. I like knowing people by name as they come through the door. I also enjoy working with the group of people here. We have fun together!
